TEXTEL CU CODERS
Free for all child members of TEXTEL Credit Union
In alignment with TEXTEL Credit Union's mission to support and empower our community, we propose the launch of a new initiative: "TEXTEL CU CODERS." This program aims to provide children with an engaging and educational opportunity to learn the basics of coding and game development in a fun and interactive environment.
Program Overview:
- Program Name: TEXTEL CU CODERS
- Target Audience: Children ages 9-12 who are members of TEXTEL Credit Union
- Duration: 1 month (4 sessions)
- Schedule: Every Saturday from August 10 to August 31
- First Session: 1:30 PM - 2:15 PM
- Second Session: 2:30 PM - 3:15 PM
- Platform: Microsoft Teams
- Tools: Google's CS First and Microsoft MakeCode Arcade
- Cost: Free for all members of TEXTEL Credit Union
Program Objectives:
- Introduce children to the basics of coding and game development.
- Foster creativity and problem-solving skills through interactive learning.
- Provide a fun and engaging environment for children to explore technology.
- Strengthen community bonds by offering valuable educational opportunities to our members.
Program Details:
- Session Structure: Each session will be a 45-minute interactive workshop where children will learn to create simple games using Google's CS First and Microsoft MakeCode Arcade. The sessions will be designed to be fun, hands-on, and engaging, encouraging active participation.
- Class Size: Each session will be limited to a maximum of 5-7 students to ensure personalized attention and effective learning.
- Requirements: Participants will need a Microsoft or Google account and a reliable internet connection. Detailed instructions on how to join the sessions and set up accounts will be provided upon registration.
- Support: An instructor will guide the sessions, and a support team will be available to assist with any technical issues.
