To join, simply complete our Membership Application Form (available on the website under “Forms”) and provide a valid photo ID, proof of address (e.g., utility bill), and a nominal share purchase (minimum required savings). Once approved, you’ll receive your member number and can access our full range of services.

  • We offer several savings options, including:

    • Regular Savings: A basic account that earns a competitive dividend rate.

    • Special Savings: Designed for specific goals (e.g., Christmas Club, Vacation Club) with tailored dividend rates.

    • Fixed Deposit Savings: Funds are locked in for a fixed term (e.g., 3, 6, 12 months) with higher interest rates.
      You can open any of these accounts by visiting the branch or completing the appropriate form online.

TEXTEL Credit Union provides a variety of loans, including:

  • Personal Loans: For general expenses or debt consolidation.

  • Car Loans: Competitive rates for new and used vehicles.

  • Home Improvement Loans: For renovations or home repairs.

  • Emergency Loans: Quick-access funds for urgent needs.

  • Education Loans: Assistance for school or tertiary tuition fees.

Complete the relevant Loan Application Form (available under “Forms” on our website) and submit it with:

  • Proof of income (e.g., recent payslips or salary advice)

  • Valid photo ID (e.g., passport or driver’s license)

  • Proof of address (e.g., utility bill)

  • Two guarantors or collateral as required
    Once submitted, our loan officers will review your application and notify you of the decision within 5–7 business days.

Yes. Our online banking portal allows you to:

  • View account balances and transaction history

  • Transfer funds between your TEXTEL accounts

  • Pay loans or make savings contributions

  • Download e-statements
    To register, click “Online Banking” on our homepage, complete the registration form, and follow the instructions to set up two-factor authentication (2FA) for enhanced security.

  • Dividend rates vary by account type and are reviewed quarterly by the Board of Directors. Our rates are:

    • Regular Savings: X% per annum

    • Fixed Deposit (12 months): Y% per annum

    • Special Savings (Christmas Club): Z% per annum

  • We offer an online appointment scheduling tool. Simply click “Book Appointment” on our website, select your preferred date and time, and enter your contact details. You will receive an email confirmation and reminder. If you need to reschedule or cancel, use the link in your confirmation email or call our branch at 1-868-624-1244.
